Will This EV Turn Over a New Leaf? Nissan Teases Details

Amazing things are worth waiting for. The new #Nissan #LEAF. Coming soon.

The Nissan LEAF is currently the best-selling electric vehicle--since its introduction as the very first mass-market electric vehicle globally--and Nissan is being quite the tease about its new major redesign.

The photo above is the first of what we're sure will be a long series of marketing pop-ups throughout the summer as we wait for the next big rebuild for Nissan's Intelligent Zero-Emissions Mobility project.

What can we expect to see in the all-new 2018 Nissan LEAF?

Most importantly: a new design, and a much longer driving range.

Green Car Reports suggests that the new design will be distinctly closer to a casual five-door hatchback car, instead of the LEAF's usual beetle-shaped body with the sloping rear. Making this change away from the LEAF's original quirky design could significantly widen its appeal among some not-so-typical EV buyers--the market that other EVs haven't yet been able to reach.

We believe that the 2018 Nissan LEAF may be available as early as fall or winter of 2017--keep an eye on the Gandrud Nissan blog to stay in-the-know about 2018 LEAF release date, specs, pictures, design, driving range, charging, and more.
